Artist Statement:

     Trying to mimic the things I see in life is something I have done throughout my work. I often paint objects from life and try to portray them as accurately as possible. Many of my inspirations come from nature and personal experiences that have made an impact on me. I use art as a way to explore my identity and delve into how these life experiences have shaped who I am. Memories are important to me and keeping certain memories alive has been something I have focused on in my work. I often choose objects that represent these memories in some way and create an environment where they can continue to live on.
